Norrbotten/Lapland is Sweden's most
northerly county, located north of the Arctic Circle. Getting
there is simple - you can fly, rail or drive. The flight from
Stockholm takes just over an hour, and if you're flying from
London or Paris, about five hours.
Norrbotten's coastline runs along the Gulf of Bothnia. This
"Nordic Riviera" often boasts more hours of sunshine than
anywhere else in Sweden.
Norrbotten/Lapland has spectacular
natural landscapes, crystal clean air and water, and a unique
sense of freedom. Here you can almost walk directly out of
unspoiled, untamed wilderness straight into the sights and
sounds of town. It is a very special area. The beauty of the
countryside, the quality of life, the rich and diverse
culture, and the special quality of the light are just some of
the enchanting characteristics of this, the most northern part of Sweden.
